Our Guide Service...Our evening hatch trips are for the clients that only have a few hours to get away. A four to five hour trip, we will start at 4pm and fish until dark. Hard fast surface action, fishing at the best time of the day. Great for a quick flyfishing fix.
Full Day Walk & Wade, Or Float Trip.
Chose from a wade, or float trip on one of wild trout rivers, or streams. All gear included as well as an gourmet streamside lunch.
Sierra Sampler
Our Sierra Sampler outing is a multi day trip, designed to introduce anglers to our area. We will often fish up to 4-5 rivers over a two or three day trip. These are all inclusive outings with lodging at one of our fine historic inn's, all meals, guides, and all gear included.
Steelhead and Salmon on the Fly
Our Winter/Spring Steelhead run
is something we look forward to every year. Averaging 17-22 inches
and big fish landed 10-15 pounds weekly, the fight that these
silver bullets is unlike anything you have experienced. With good
numbers of these fish taken on the surface and caught using 4-5
wt rods, you will soon come to love Winter/Spring in the Sierra,
as much as we do.
Our fall salmon fishing is one of our favorite times of years. Our rivers produce King Salmon up to 50 pounds, and Coho Salmon that average 2 pounds. We fish waters that are rarely fished for these species and usually have these ocean run warriors all to ourselves. With excellent 1/2 pound steelhead fishing to boot, this is a great trip for all.
Trophy Trout Stillwaters
Experience one or more of our trophy trout reservoirs over a full day, or overnight camping/fishing excursion. We have some of the most incredible stillwater fishing to be had in the state, catching fish that are measured in pounds, not inches. Lodging arrangements can also be made for you by Sierra West Adventures.
Tailwater Bass Tours
Beginning in spring and lasting until late fall, our trophy bass rivers are teaming with these voracious predator fish. These waters hold large, small and spotted bass, that average two pounds and yield many fish six pounds to ten pounds yearly. They also hold stripers up to twenty pounds and trophy Crappie & Blue gill fishing as well. Other hooked species are catfish, carp and koi, all of which are very exciting flyrod fish.
Striper Adventures
Striper fishing in our area, takes us into our reservoirs and our lower rivers. There is something special about hooking into one of these ill tempered beauties, that will make you wanting more and more. Primarily for the semi advanced anglers, let us introduce you to a "REEL" challenge in fly angling.
White Water & Fly fishing Adventures
Experience one of the most amazing trips we have ever had the great fortune to operate. Over three days, we will fish and raft over 20 miles, through some of the most beautiful and prolific rivers in our state.
Back Country Hosted Outings
Strap on your back pack, or get ready for a great ride, into the undiscovered high country waters of Slope Sierra. We are packed in by permitted pack stations to some of the most incredible flyfishing you will ever do. We will present to fish that, in some cases, have never seen a artificial fly.
